PIDLAB Terms of Use
Rules for using the hosted PIDLAB laboratory and its learning features.
What PIDLAB provides
PIDLAB is a browser-based laboratory for learning, modelling and tuning PID loops, preparing practical tasks and reviewing results. Public learning materials and these documents do not require an account; the workspace requires sign-in.
The service is provided by individual entrepreneur Alexey Borisovich Borozdin, taxpayer number (INN) 781626255984, registration number (OGRNIP) 322784700290619. Contact for the service and these terms: info@pidlab.io. The postal address is listed on the Contact and Requests page.
Free access and future offers
At this stage, PIDLAB provides free access to the hosted service for personal and educational practice, engineering experiments and skills assessment. Within this scope, you may use the interface, save your stands, complete tasks and use available export functions. This permission is non-exclusive and does not grant rights to the source code or to deploy a separate copy of the product.
Future corporate offers may be paid and governed by a separate agreement. These terms do not establish a price, subscription, automatic charge or obligation to buy a future service. A paid offer will require separate agreement; current free access is not promised indefinitely.
Accounts and permitted use
Use an email address you control and do not share your password or sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another user or try to access other users' stands, results or administrative privileges. Report suspected unauthorised access to info@pidlab.io.
Do not disrupt the service, bypass access restrictions or upload material you are not entitled to process in PIDLAB. Use de-identified data for learning experiments; do not upload passwords, access secrets, other people's personal data or confidential plant information without appropriate authority.
Your materials and product rights
Rights in material you create or upload do not transfer to PIDLAB. You permit its storage, technical reproduction and processing to the extent needed to save stands, run simulations, complete tasks and show results to users who have the relevant access.
PIDLAB source code, catalogs, models, design and original learning materials remain the rights holder's proprietary product. Free access to the website is not an open-source license to copy, distribute or resell them. Third-party components retain their own licenses; these terms do not restrict rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Tasks, results and engineering limits
A task result relates to the selected model, initial conditions and criteria. It supports review of practical skills but is not a state qualification, industrial authorisation or comprehensive assessment of professional suitability. Hiring, authorisation and training decisions remain with the responsible person after independent evaluation.
Simulation approximates a process. Do not transfer settings to physical equipment without checking model applicability, limits, equipment documentation and the site's procedures. PIDLAB does not control physical equipment through these learning scenarios and does not guarantee its safety.
Changes, restrictions and ending access
Features may change and service may be interrupted for maintenance or by faults. Keep copies of materials you need using available exports. When reporting an issue, include the page, action and expected result; these terms do not establish guaranteed response times or service availability.
Access may be restricted to protect users and the service when these terms are breached or abuse is identified. You may stop using the service and request account closure or data deletion. Disabling sign-in, deleting a stand and handling a personal-data deletion request have different effects, described in the Privacy Notice.
Application of these terms and requests
Use of PIDLAB is governed by the law of the Russian Federation, without removing mandatory protections that apply to the user. This text does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The current version is available at a permanent URL and carries a date. Silence alone should not be treated as acceptance of material changes to access rules or of a paid offer. Send questions about these terms, rights and corporate use to info@pidlab.io.
PIDLAB is a laboratory for PID loops. Simulation does not replace validation on a real plant.
